NIGHT OF THE TRIBUTES
NEW EVENT BORN: NIGHT OF THE TRIBUTES
The Katwijker Ton Frissen has recently entered into discussions with various parties who would like to organize a music event. As long as Katwijk does not have a new cultural center on the agenda, Ton believes that TriPodia is currently the only designated place for that. The other participating party has a partnership with Ton Frissen.
By organizing Haringrock, Katwijker Frissen has demonstrated how large-scale and small-scale events can be held professionally and responsibly. Frissen has thus built up a great deal of trust and often meets more than the minimum requirements required by the municipal permit.
In this way Frissen became the link and went around the table with the management of the TriPodia foundation (part of Baptist Church Katwijk) and reached an agreement. The first date can be noted in the agenda on Saturday 13 October 2018. The first "Night of the Tributes" will be born on this day.
No one less than former Direct-singer Tim Akkerman, who gets crowded with his Singing the Boss Tour, comes to Katwijk to bring his successful show there. The Katwijk U2 tribute band "Radio U2" is also programmed in the list, with Erwin Weening as the front man. Yes, the brother of Dennis Weening who also regularly appears on National television. Young talent from Katwijk will also fill the stage. The band Ludwig with covers from the present and the past will complete the list. A great program, therefore, for and by Katwijkers with the aim of a pleasant music night out in the familiar Tripodia.
Night of the Tributes is a concept where national and international tribute bands are the main program and local Katwijk bands will provide the support. 'Sharing is caring', a beautiful idea that is cherished by all parties.
TIM AKKERMAN SINGS THE BOSS
After a successful 2016 / 2017 with the singles This Time It's For Real, the Christmas hit Come On It's Christmas Time, a theater tour and reprise, Tim Akkerman returns in 2018 with an ode to his musical hero Bruce Springsteen: Tim Akkerman sings The Boss.
Springsteen has been an inspiration since Tim's early years. The songs The River and Badlands form the basis of his musical development:
"The combination of his story as an artist who follows his heart and his positive energy with every live performance makes him a unique person for me" said Tim.
Tim has always wanted to perform the Springsteen songs live. Now the time has come to bring a set with his band that is all about The Boss. It will be an evening where all the monumental but also the more intimate songs come by.
